How I Use AI Tools to Work Less and Earn More (Even as a Solo Creator)

Why I Started Using AI Tools

Are you tired of juggling endless tasks—writing articles from scratch, managing freelance projects, and spending hours on research? I’ve been there, too. About a year ago, my workload was overwhelming. Then I started using AI tools like ChatGPT, and everything changed.

Instead of hitting a burnout wall, I found a way to work smarter, not harder. Let me walk you through my process.

The AI Tools That Changed Everything

  1. ChatGPT
    • My go-to for idea generation, outlining, and drafting. I can create a rough draft in minutes and then refine it into polished copy.
  2. Notion AI
    • Perfect for structuring outlines, summarizing large sets of data, and keeping my entire editorial calendar organized.
  3. Midjourney
    • Helps me generate unique visuals and thumbnails that stand out from boring stock photos.
  4. Pictory
    • Converts blog posts or long-form content into short, engaging videos—great for YouTube Shorts.
  5. Perplexity
    • Offers credible research results without falling into endless rabbit holes on the web.

(Tip: When adding images or thumbnails to your posts, make sure to include descriptive alt text with relevant keywords. For example: “alt=‘Midjourney AI-generated thumbnail of a blogger using ChatGPT’.”)

My 15-Minute Blog Post Workflow

  1. Keyword Research
    • I use free tools (e.g., Google Trends) and basic SEO keyword finders to spot trending topics.
    • Focus on long-tail keywords like “how to earn more with AI tools” or “AI for solo creators.”
  2. Outline & SEO Strategy
    • I ask ChatGPT to create an outline optimized for SEO. This usually includes key subheadings, keyword placement, and a logical flow.
  3. Drafting
    • ChatGPT then writes a full draft in minutes. I’ll edit for tone, clarity, and factual accuracy.
  4. Visual Creation
    • Midjourney generates eye-catching images or thumbnails. I then add them to my blog post, making sure each image has optimized alt tags.
  5. Final Check & Publish
    • I upload everything to WordPress, format headings (H2, H3), add any relevant internal links to older blog posts, and then hit Publish.

And that’s it—no burnout, just consistent, high-quality output.

Earnings & Traffic: My Early Wins

  • First $213 in Affiliate Income
By naturally placing relevant affiliate links in my AI-assisted posts, I saw my first earnings come in.
  • Steady Growth in Organic Traffic
Optimizing for keywords and maintaining a consistent posting schedule led to a noticeable uptick in site visitors.

Pro Tip: Whenever you mention an affiliate product, ensure you’re using the proper disclosure (e.g., “This post may contain affiliate links…”).
